IJ Shapes Midlength
Isaak and some of his customers have been surfing this design for the past few months with great feedback. Essentially a hull design with some unique tweaks for added performance – in a broader range of conditions.
The board features a medium flat rocker and pinched rail. The bottom is definitely rolled which mellows and then flattens through the tail. A subtle concave has been cut through the roll in the front third of the board for minimal resistance paddling & seamless glide into waves on take off.
The wide point is set distinctly back from center, which gives the board a bigger sweet spot & allows for nimble redirection off the tail. Easy to trim, equally at home locked in the pocket or out one the open face.
